Refund & Cancellation.
1. Cooling-Off Period
If you book your place on the Human Tools Experience via our website (an electronic transaction), you are entitled to cancel within 7 (seven) days of completing your booking, for any reason and without penalty, in accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
To exercise this right, send a written cancellation notice to info@humantools.co.za within 7 days of your booking date. We will refund your full payment within 15 business days.
2. Cancellation by You
If you cancel your booking after the cooling-off period:
More than 30 days before your cohort start date
- Full refund less a R500 (ZAR) administration fee; OR
- Transfer to a future cohort at no additional cost (subject to availability)
15 to 30 days before your cohort start date
- 50% refund of the Programme fee; OR
- Transfer to a future cohort at no additional cost (subject to availability)
Less than 15 days before your cohort start date
- No refund
- You may transfer to a future cohort (subject to availability) within 12 months of your original booking date
All cancellation requests must be made in writing to info@humantools.co.za.
3. Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a full money-back guarantee under the following conditions:
- You attend all five days of the Programme in full
- You participate in all exercises and group activities as directed by the facilitator
- You submit a written refund request to info@humantools.co.za within 48 hours of the final day of your cohort
If all three conditions are met, we will refund your full US$1,200 Programme fee within 15 business days. No questions asked.
If you do not attend all five days, or if you do not participate in the exercises, or if you do not submit your request within the 48-hour window, the money-back guarantee does not apply. Standard cancellation terms (Section 2 above) apply instead.
The money-back guarantee applies only to paid cohorts (destination programmes). Free South African cohorts are not subject to refund as no payment has been made.
4. Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a cohort due to insufficient enrolment, venue issues, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If we cancel a cohort:
- You will receive a full refund within 15 business days; OR
- You may transfer to a future cohort at no additional cost
We are not liable for any travel, accommodation, or other costs you may have incurred in connection with a cancelled cohort.
5. Refund Method
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method. If the original method is unavailable, we will arrange an alternative method in consultation with you. Refunds are processed in the currency in which payment was received.
6. Consumer Protection
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, POPIA, or any other applicable South African legislation.
